Welcome to the Quran Vocabulary Championship ("QVC"), a programme operated by Qurantology ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website, creating an account, or participating in any competition or study activity on the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Please read these terms carefully before using the platform. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the QVC platform.

The QVC platform is open to learners worldwide. To register as an individual, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age, or have verifiable parental or guardian consent if under 13.
• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration.
• Not have been previously suspended or banned from the QVC platform.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

Students enrolled through an accredited institution (madrasa, school, or university) may be registered by their institution's admin, in which case the institution accepts responsibility for eligibility on their behalf.

Qurantology reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage, including before awarding competition results or certificates.

To access study tools and competition features, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide a valid email address and maintain its accuracy.
• Choose a secure password and keep it confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Not share your account credentials with any other person.
• Not create more than one individual account. Duplicate accounts may be merged or removed without notice.
• Notify us immediately at support@qurantology.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may use the QVC platform solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial learning and competition purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or any form of artificial assistance during assessments or competitions.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform without express written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, its servers, or databases.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform or its users.
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications.
• Use the platform in any way that could bring Qurantology or the QVC programme into disrepute.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, at our sole discretion, without refund of any fees paid.

Participation in QVC competitions — Local, Regional, National, and Global — is subject to the following rules:

• Academic integrity — All competition work must be entirely your own. Any form of cheating, collusion, or use of external assistance is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
• Results are final — Competition scores are calculated automatically. Requests for re-marking will only be considered in the case of a documented technical fault, submitted within 7 days of the result.
• Reattempts — Participants who do not advance may re-enter in the next scheduled competition cycle. There is no limit on the number of attempts.
• Certificates & prizes — Certificates of achievement are issued digitally. Physical prizes, where applicable, will be announced in the competition brief and are non-transferable.
• Schedule changes — Qurantology reserves the right to reschedule, combine, or cancel any competition round due to insufficient participation, technical issues, or force majeure.

Madrasas, schools, universities, and other educational organisations ("Institutions") may register for an institutional dashboard to enrol and manage their students collectively.

• The designated institutional admin ("Admin") accepts these Terms on behalf of the Institution and takes responsibility for ensuring enrolled students comply with all platform rules.
• The Admin is responsible for obtaining any necessary parental or guardian consents for minor students prior to enrolment.
• Institutions may not enrol individuals without their knowledge or against their wishes.
• The Admin has access to academic progress data for all students enrolled under their account. This access must be used solely for legitimate educational oversight purposes.
• Institutional accounts are non-transferable. If an Admin changes, the Institution must notify us at support@qurantology.com to update account ownership.

All content on the QVC platform — including but not limited to the curriculum, word lists, difficulty scores, flashcard content, audio recordings, competition questions, design, logos, and software — is the exclusive intellectual property of Qurantology, or is used under licence.

• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use platform content solely for your personal learning and competition participation.
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any platform content without our prior written consent.
• Quranic text and classical Arabic vocabulary are part of the public Islamic scholarly heritage. However, our specific selection, scoring methodology, and presentation thereof are proprietary to Qurantology.
• The "QVC" name, "Qurantology" name, and all associated logos and marks are trademarks of Qurantology. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

If you believe any content on the platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at legal@qurantology.com.

Where the platform allows you to submit content — such as discussion posts, feedback, or study notes — you retain ownership of your content, but grant Qurantology a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, display, and adapt such content for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

You warrant that any content you submit:

• Does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Is not defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise unlawful.
• Does not contain personal data of third parties without their consent.
• Is not promotional or commercially motivated without our prior approval.

Qurantology reserves the right to remove any user-submitted content at any time, without notice, if it is deemed to violate these Terms or our community standards.

The core QVC platform — including all Beginner courses and Local competition entry — is free of charge. Certain features, higher-level competition registrations, or institutional plans may carry a fee, which will always be clearly disclosed before purchase.

• Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. Qurantology does not store full card details.
• Competition fees, where applicable, are non-refundable once a competition round has commenced, unless the round is cancelled by Qurantology.
• Subscription plans, where offered, may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no pro-rata refunds are issued for unused days.
• Technical failure refunds — if a paid competition cannot be completed due to a fault on our platform, a full refund or free re-entry will be offered at our discretion.

All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction.

The QVC platform and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
• Competition scores and difficulty ratings, while rigorously calculated, are provided for educational purposes and do not constitute official Islamic scholarly certification.
• Third-party links or resources referenced on the platform are provided for convenience. Qurantology does not endorse and is not responsible for third-party content.
• Qurantology makes no guarantee regarding specific learning outcomes, memorisation results, or academic advancement from use of the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Qurantology and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the platform or any content therein.
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
• Any bugs, errors, or inaccuracies in platform content.
• Competition results, disqualification decisions, or scheduling changes.
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time:

• By you — you may delete your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting support@qurantology.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Competition records may be retained in anonymised form.
• By us — we reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except where required by law.

Upon termination, your licence to access the platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — shall continue to apply.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days, either party may seek resolution through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable to your country of residence.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Qurantology with respect to the QVC platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, agreements, or representations.
